The carved upper floors are left unpainted above a whitewashed ground floor, where a mahogany-red double door carries the name. Inside the one narrow room, the espresso machine has VERMILION engraved on its group head and stands on a bar front built from rows of turned wooden pegs.
The specials board runs to cold brew, iced lattes, and matcha, with pastries in a glass case. Branded totes and T-shirts hang for sale by the door. A sash window with striped curtains looks onto the tram tracks of Rızapaşa Sokak, and a bench and stools sit out on the pavement.
